G6PD Gene Detection Kit is a PCR-based in vitro diagnostic test designed to detect 10 common G6PD mutations in human whole blood DNA samples: 392G>T(p.Gly131Val), c.487G>A(p.Gly163Ser), c.592C>T(p.Arg198Cys), c.871G>A(p.Val291Met), c. 1360C>T(p.Arg454Cys), c.1376G>T(p.Arg459Leu), and c.1388G>A(p.Arg463His). The results can be used for auxiliary diagnosis of G6PD deficiency.

Clinical Significance
G6PD gene mutations are mainly missense mutations with single base substitution, more than 40 pathogenic variants of G6PD have been found. 1376G>T c.1388G>A, c.95A>G, c.871G>A, and c.1024C>T accounted for the highest proportion.392G>T,c.487G>A,c.1360T>c,C.592C>T, c. Other types occur sporadically. Therefore, the strategy of conducting hot spot variant detection 1st is recommended for genetic testing.
